Hot Cheesy Clam Dip

November 23, 2009 by

From the Kitchen of Dana White

Notes:  This recipe was given to my mom by an old friend who was the maid of honor at her wedding!  Pat always serves rich, interesting food at parties and this Clam Dip is a recipe we’ve used through the years.  I recently dug out the recipe after many years and served it at my son, Liam’s first birthday!  My whole family remembered how much we loved it.  Enjoy!

  • 3 (6.5 ozs) cans of minced clams
  • 2 TBS lemon juice
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ¾ cup Swiss cheese (grated)
  • ¾ cup Munster cheese (grated)
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Box of buttery crackers

  • Preheat oven to 350 Degrees
  • Mix all ingredients in mixing bowl
  • Spread mixture in Pyrex dish (or disposable tin tray…less clean up!)
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown
  • Serve hot with crackers

Tip:  If you like a little “heat” you can add a few drops of hot sauce to mixture too!
