She Said: “The Old Ball & Chain”

February 16, 2010 by Kat

Yes, I know – we’re so gay. We celebrate our 1st kiss/date anniversary. February 16th, 2000. 10 years ago. 4 kids later. Ironcially, my sister’s 1st kiss/date with her hubby (who is also a “Dave F”) was February 16th, but 15 years prior (ouch!). In the spirit of this day, I couldn’t help but throw out my version of our marriage, spoken in others’ words. Admittedly, lil’ nervous to see his version!

Marrying a man is like buying something you’ve been admiring for a long time in a shop window. You may love it when you get it home, but it doesn’t always go with everything in the house.
- Jean Kerr

I love being married. It’s so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.
- Rita Rudner

Keep your eyes wide open before marriage, and half-shut afterwards.
- Benjamin Franklin

Married life is full of excitement and frustration:
* In the first year of marriage, the man speaks and the woman listens.
* In the second year, the woman speaks and the man listens.
* In the third year, they both speak and the neighbors listen.

Getting married is very much like going to the restaurant with friends. You order what you want, and when you see what the other person has, you wish you had ordered that
[Okay, KIDDING... but LMAO at this one]

A gentleman is one who never swears at his wife while ladies are present.

And, if I ever cheated on HIM, this would be HIS JOKE
:
When a man steals your wife, there is no better revenge than to let him keep her.

LOVE the one about annoying! That perfectly describes my fiance and me. Just trying to get on eachother’s nerves because we love eachother. He doesn’t go with everything in the house, either.
