Touche, Mon Frere

April 30, 2010 by Kat

LOVE FedEx tracking. How did people live prior? I watched it like a hawk all day. Something actually had me excited for a few hours today… for the first time in weeks.

I guess the excitement we experience in 2010 RE: technology is similar to our parents’ animated reactions when they found a special something on their front stoops. I imagine our parents generations ponder “How did my kids NOT live when they hand delivered glass bottles of milk to our doorstep on Saturday mornings, and we swiped the bottle and licked off the cream before Mom and Dad awoke!”

Today a new toy arrived. The iPad.

The iPad that hubby SWORE I would “never get” and “if I bought it anyway, he’d be so mad at me” since I, evidently “have a perfectly fine new Mac computer and it’s just a waste of money”. Oh, Dave. You’re SOOOO 2009.

Touche, Mon Frere.

Let’s just say hubby sorta dared me to do something shortly after our convo… I said, “Never. You know I’d never do that.”

Thinking further, I blurted out: “Only in exchange for an iPad”. He said “fine”.

Use your imagination.
And,
you can keep your head in getchyourheadouttathegutter.

  1. So do you love it? I have a Nook, which is Barnes and Noble’s version of the Kindle, and I adore it. I like the iPad as well but I have an iPhone and a Mac laptop and thought I might be “over-technologizing” (do you like that word I just made up?) myself. I would love to hear your take on it – they are wonderful!

Such fun to expect something that exciting in the mail. Enjoy!

  4. When you invest in a program you know little or nothing about, even if the program is safe and profitable, you are bound to make terrible mistakes and consequently,
terrible losses: so before you invest or while investing in any program,
you should gather as much information as you can to be able to make
profit from the program. Some games last longer than others, and those usually pay more than the shorter
ones. One of them is having your information online,
    which is a security concern.
