He Said: “If My Life Were a Book”

May 13, 2010 by Dave

My” Kat decided on “Mama” Kat’s prompt #5 (Did you ever think you’d see a reference to two Kats in the same sentence?  Trust me – one is enough…) -

Here goes…

Close your eyes and envision a care-free home, where your wife is always on time, the kids use table manners at every meal, and the checkbook always balances.  Picture a life where the laundry folds itself, the dishwasher is always empty and the toys pick themselves up off the floor.  Imagine a life where ‘go-time’ happens when YOU want it to, you can go on a football getaway without feeling guilty, and you leave work at 5 o’clock every day.

This book is about none of these things.  It’s the story of my life.  Enjoy the reading.

This is a story about one girl’s life.  You may know the story:

  • Little girl dreams of marrying her Prince Charming
  • Girl grows into a beautiful young woman, still searching for the “one”
  • Young woman finds her soul mate; everyone around her (especially her brothers) is confused on her choice
  • Soul mate provides family of 4; all hell breaks loose.  People still wonder why she picked him
  • Ten years later, soul mate still thinks he’s funny; not-so-young woman still ignores him
  • Girl loves guy, guy loves her back.  Neither would change a thing
