He Said: “Patience is a Virtue”

July 14, 2010 by

There are times that I feel like I’m married to two women.  On most days, I’m married to the superhero known as “NormalGirl.”  You know…the girl that has it all together, a great mom, an even better wife and friend, can leap empty bottles of champagne in a single bound.  She can handle any and all situations, and she makes me proud to be with her.

Then, there’s the other girl that I married.  I like to call her “What in the World, Woman”  This is the Long Island girl who:

  • Talks about picking zits in approximately 30% of our blog posts
  • Claims she wants to get not just any tattoo, but an entire sleeve
  • Sleeps through pre-school pick-up time
  • Is unafraid to jump into the Allegheny River, not knowing what lurks beneath her toes (this one is actually a compliment – I almost fell out of the boat when I saw this happen last weekend)
  • Cracks up in hysterics at the altar, losing all control of her emotions during her wedding vows (I’m still obviously scarred by this incident)
  • I could go on, but so as not to sleep on the couch tonight, I’ll stop

I thought for sure that her zit-picking-blogging days were over, after the harrassment she got from the previous post.  Apparently she is not one to give into peer pressure.  My next post may be based around bathroom humor…doesn’t matter the age or gender, it’s always a great topic.  Better yet, I’ll open it up to the group – any suggestions on the next “He Said” post?

  1. Hey – she’s just teaching your kids a great lesson in peer pressure!

And I would offer He Said suggestions, but feel like it should be something strongly from a man’s point of view.

Haha, what a hilarious description of your What in the world Woman.
