He Said: “Let the Craziness Begin”

October 20, 2010 by Dave

As you know, we are beyond honored to have been named America’s Hottest Culinary Couple by Pyrex®.  We officially launched the first, in a series of four, online cooking segments, and it’s now live.

Below you’ll find the actual news story, as picked up (even by!) CNBC this morning, as well as PR Newswire:

AMERICA’S HOTTEST CULINARY COUPLE HEATS UP THE KITCHEN
WITH THE DEBUT OF THEIR ONLINE COOKING SERIES
SPONSORED BY PYREX® PRODUCTS

Kat and Dave Fotheringham are the first real-life spokescouple
for the Pyrex® brand and aim to inspire and help make cooking easier through online series

ROSEMONT, Ill., October 20, 2010 – After a nationwide search, the Pyrex® brand team has crowned Kat and Dave Fotheringham of Raleigh, North Carolina America’s Hottest Culinary Couple. The couple garnered thousands of America’s votes and beat out another finalist couple in a live, 30-minute cook-off in New York City in September, hosted by actor Gilles Marini of ABC’s Brothers & Sisters, whose passion for all things cooking drew him to the program. The Fotheringhams took home the title, $10,000 cash, $500 in Pyrex® products and their own online video cooking series that debuts this week.

“Cooking as a couple strengthens family relationships – and when you see Kat and Dave in the kitchen, it’s obvious they are having fun together,” said Marini. “That’s why I’m happy to help the Pyrex brand celebrate these everyday moments and inspire others through this video series. I enjoyed watching Kat and Dave during the culinary challenge in New York, and I know America will love them too.”

The online video series debuts this week on the Pyrexware YouTube channel at www.YouTube.com/pyrexware, featuring new episodes through December 2010.  Using the Fotheringham’s home kitchen as a backdrop, viewers will learn new recipes, cooking and entertaining tips, as well as experience some of the newest Pyrex products.

“We couldn’t be more excited to represent the Pyrex brand as America’s Hottest Culinary Couple,” said Kat Fotheringham. “We have always been fans of Pyrex products, but we’re really impressed to see all the innovative updates to our favorite products – especially the measuring cups with read-from-above measure marks. Dave and I are a real couple, cooking real recipes and we hope to inspire confidence in the kitchen for other couples through our YouTube video series. Be sure to check it out!”

The Fotheringhams met on a blind date, got engaged after seven months, and were married 11 months later.  Now, nearly a decade later, they enjoy life in North Carolina with their four beautiful children. Ultimately, the Fotheringhams’ creativity, chemistry in the kitchen and entertaining cooking style helped them to secure the title.

In their video submission for the America’s Hottest Culinary Couple contest, the Fotheringhams prepared a shrimp with roasted red pepper cream sauce dish, and offered up great tips for hosting and entertaining.  The submission video secured them a spot as one of 10 semi-finalist couples, while America’s votes advanced them to the top two finalists.

  1. You actually make it appear really easy along with your presentation but I to find this topic to be really one thing which I believe I might by no means understand. It seems too complicated and very wide for me. I am having a look ahead to your subsequent put up, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
